Students are introduced to the theory and/or application of allied modalities currently being practiced in the massage field. Students study and review for the Licensing Exam and State of Maryland Jurisprudence exam. Examples of other modalities may include sports massage, reiki/introduction to energy, prenatal/pregnancy massage, myofascial release techniques, aromatherapy, reflexology, and spa techniques.
