Fortis Institute is located at 9022 S. Federal Hwy/US #1, Port St. Lucie, FL. It is located in St. Lucie County, which neighbors with Palm Beach, Martin, Indian River, and Okeechobee counties. The campus occupies approximately 35,000 square feet in a one-story building. All parking facilities accommodate students and faculty. Designated parking spaces, ramps or ground level accessibility, and handicapped restrooms are accessible to all handicapped students.
Classrooms and laboratories are designed to limit the number of students to maximize personal attention to each student. In addition to the classrooms and laboratories, Fortis Institute maintains administrative offices, student lounges, and a Learning Resource Center.
Lecture classrooms and labs are available for all programs.
Allied Health and Nursing labs are equipped to simulate a professional environment. Students practice skills on practice arms, torsos, and other manikin equipment. Labs include exam tables, medical devices and equipment, eye wash stations and bio- hazardous waste containers.
Nursing has a simulation lab which includes high fidelity manikins and equipment to allow for simulation of real-life scenarios.
Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration lab includes air-conditioning systems, gas furnace, hot water boiler, and refrigeration equipment.
Various other supplies and materials are also provided for student learning.
Fortis Institute also uses the offices and laboratories of local physicians, clinics, healthcare facilities and hospitals to provide on- the-job experiences and training for students. Administrative offices include career services, financial aid, registrar, admissions, and business office.
