In addition to the General Admissions Requirements, the following are additional admissions requirements for the Dental Assisting program. As a condition of enrollment, applicants to the Dental Assisting program are required to attest that they are of good moral character as required by the New Jersey Bureau of Radiological Health and will therefore undergo a criminal background check as an admission requirement of Fortis Institute. Applicants will be asked if they have ever been convicted of any Federal or state crime(s). If so, additional documentation may be required, and admission may be denied if the documentation warrants. A prospective or enrolled student with a felony conviction (in New Jersey or nationwide) may not be admitted or allowed to continue enrollment in the Dental Assisting program if the documentation reveals that he or she is not of good moral character as required by the State of New Jersey Bureau of Radiological Health.
