This course is designed to establish a knowledge base in factors that govern the image production process. Guidelines for calculating and selecting exposure factors, proper use of accessory devices, and the factors affecting imaging quality are also presented. Content imparts an understanding of the components, principles and operation of digital imaging systems found in diagnostic radiology. Factors that impact image quality, acquisition, display, archiving, and retrieval are discussed.
