A student wishing to officially withdraw should inform the College at least five calendar days, but no more than thirty calendar days, in advance of withdrawal, and is encouraged to do so in writing. A student who returns to the College after withdrawing must sign a new enrollment agreement and will be subject to the then-current price of tuition and fees. A student’s last date of attendance as documented by the College as the last day a student had academically related activity, which may include projects, clinical experiences, or examinations, as evidenced by posted attendance, will be used to calculate any money the student owes and to calculate any refund the student is due. All other fees are non-refundable when the applicable item or service is provided to the student.
Student refunds are based on the formula below:
| Proportion of Course Hours Scheduled | Tuition Due for the Quarter |
|---|---|
| .01 up to and including 75% | Pro-Rata Tuition |
| More than 75% | 100% / No Tuition Refund |
A student who withdraws for a reason unrelated to the student’s academic status after the 75 percent completion mark and requests a grade at the time of withdrawal shall be given a grade of “incomplete” and permitted to re-enroll in the course or program during the 12-month period following the date the student withdrew without payment of additional tuition for that portion of the course or program. All returning students must sign a new Enrollment Agreement. In the event that a Student withdraws or is dismissed from the School, all efforts will be made to refund pre-paid amounts for books, fees and supplies except for those items that have been consumed. If a refund is due, it will be made within 30 days of the withdrawal date. In all cases, refunds will meet or exceed the requirements of TEC, §§132.061 and 0611.
