Institutional and program assessments are conducted periodically by qualified examiners and members of the College accrediting body and/or by accrediting teams. The purpose of these assessments is to examine and evaluate compliance of the College programs, staff, and faculty with accrediting standards and state and federal regulations.
Licensure indicates only that minimum standards have been met; it is not an endorsement or guarantee of quality. Licensure is not equivalent to or synonymous with an accreditation by an accrediting agency recognized by the U. S. Department of Education.

- Fortis College is exempt from Programmatic Review with the Alabama Commission of Higher Education.
- Fortis College is exempt from the requirement of authorization with the Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission (GNPEC) per correspondence with GNPEC on file at the school.
- Fortis College is an Institution not under the purview of the Florida Commission for Independent Education, per Fla. Stat. Section 1005.06, and may therefore admit Florida residents, per correspondence with CIE on file at the school.

Students may receive a copy of the College accreditation, licensure, or other approvals by submitting a written request to the Campus President.
