- Workforce Investment Act/ Trades Adjustment Act
- Workforce Investment Act of Ohio and the Trade Adjustment Act are designed to assist students who have been affected by the downturn in the economy (WIA) or due to increases in imports from or shifts in production to other countries. Both are programs to assist individuals to re-enter the workforce in a career where they can excel and benefit the employer at the same time. This is a state funded program that has regional offices in most parishes that award funding for that specific County. The funding is awarded based on need, availability, and several other factors. - Ohio Means Jobs: Workforce Development Revolving Loan Program
- The "Ohio Means Jobs" workforce development revolving loan program promotes and encourages Ohio's workforce development and job growth through educational training and retraining in programs related to employment opportunities in growing fields. Fortis College programs that are eligible for this loan program include: Medical Assisting Diploma and Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Diploma program. Funds for this program are limited and information on eligibility requirements, interest and repayment terms, and how to apply are located in the Financial Aid Office.
