Fortis College, formerly National Institute of Technology, was founded in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio in 1966. The College is located at 2545 Bailey Road, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221. For 34 of 59 years, Fortis College offered electronics and computer related training exclusively. In 1992, with a growing need for qualified medical assistants, Fortis College introduced the Medical Business and Clinical Specialist program. By emphasizing hands-on training, Fortis College provides its graduates with practical, skill-specific training for today’s competitive, employment marketplace. In the College’s continued quest to offer programs of value to our students and area employers, Fortis College initiated Associate Degree programs in 2002. Fortis College currently offers one degree program and 5 diploma programs. Fortis College is accredited by the Accrediting Commissions of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC).
Fortis College opened a branch campus in 2009 located at 3949 South 700 East, Salt Lake City, Utah 84107 and a second branch located at 1025 Hwy 111, Cookeville, TN 38501.
