The course also covers the scope, methods and evaluation of healthcare information systems and the principles of the electronic health record. Reference is also made to the diagnostic systems that support decision making in healthcare. Finally, the course provides an overview of the principles and applications of telemedicine in healthcare and the healthcare informatics associated ethical and legal topics.
