This course covers concepts and techniques involved with the gas tungsten arc welding process with
a focus on the production of quality groove and fillet welds on austenitic stainless steel in the 1G, 2G,
3G, 1F, 2F, and 3F positions and 1G, 2G, 1F, and 2F positions on aluminum. Additionally, this course covers
fundamental concepts such as safety hazards and proper procedures, equipment assembly, electrical theory and
machine selection, maintenance and repair, safety testing, electrode selection and preparation.
