In this course students are provided with a review of DC and AC motors. They are introduced to motor control circuits, solidstate starters and controls, programmable logic controllers, basic controller troubleshooting and variable speed drives. By the end of the course, students will be able to describe various types of motor controls, their makeup, and their utilization.
